ALREADY IN THE EU: I am a third-country national already in the EU. Can I apply for an Erasmus Mundus scholarship?

If you will not reach a total of 12 months of residence in the EU (and related countries) over the last 5 years on February 21, 2008, you are eligible for scholarship.

ALREADY ENROLLED IN TRENTO-AACHEN-EDINBURGH CS COURSE: I am already enrolled in a Master Course in Computer Science at the University of Trento or RWTH Aachen or University of Edinburgh.
Can I apply for EuMI admission?

Yes..
Can I apply for EuMI scholarship?
No.
Erasmus Mundus scholarships in EuMI are reserved only to third-country students that are not already enrolled in any Computer Science Master course in the participating Universities of the EuMI consortium, since they cover a full two year period (120 ECTS) starting from enrollment to the first year of the Master course.

ENROLLED IN ANOTHER ERASMUS MUNDUS COURSE: I am already enrolled in another Erasmus Mundus Master Programme and I have been awarded an Erasmus Mundus scholarship. Can I apply for EuMI scholarship?

No.
It would be considered a breach of the previous contract: you would break the commitment made with the other Consortium and the European Union, therefore you will not be eligible.

ENROLLED IN ANOTHER MASTER COURSE 1: I am already enrolled in another Master Programme (also another Erasmus Mundus Master, but without scholarship). Can I apply for EuMI scholarship?

Yes, if you have not been in the EU for more than 12 months over the last 5 years on February 28, 2008.

No.
Erasmus Mundus scholarships are only for students who have been admitted to – and will participate in – Erasmus Mundus Masters Courses selected under the Erasmus Mundus programme. In other words, Erasmus Mundus scholarships are exclusively reserved for Erasmus Mundus Masters Courses.

ERASMUS MUNDUS MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS: Can I apply to different Erasmus Mundus scholarships?

Yes; but you will not be able to accept more thatn one, if admitted

DECLARATION OF VALUE

If you have been selected and accepted in the EuMI programme, and you have TRENTO as first or second university: Declaration of Value-Dichiarazione di Valore.
The Declaration of Value is a document which you can get ONLY from your home-country Italian embassy. It is mandatory also for students coming to Italy the second year.

"SPECIAL WINDOW", how many "special window" scholarship are available? (China window, India window, etc.) – how does it work?

The number of scholarships changes every year and it is a decision made by the EU Commission, not by the EuMI consortium. The "window" is created to promote the programme in specific Countries; it does not imply that only a fix number of students from the "window" Country can be eligible for the scholarship (example: if there are 2 China Window scholarships; Erasmus Mundus scholarships can be won by 5 Chinese students due to their high ranking scores – 2 in the China Window category and 3 in the General List category)
